Maari 2 is the second part of the 2015 superhit movie Maari, in which Dhanush portrays the character of the local gangster named Maari who pesters the citizens in the Chennai vicinity and extorts money from them. Lead actress in Maari was Kajal Aggarwal. Vijay Yesudas as inspector wants to get rid of Maari to take charge of his land. Overall Maari was an action-packed cinema with many comedy punches of Dhanush and his Gang. Maari has immense love over his Pigeons and takes utmost care of them. Love story of Dhanush and Kajal is also shown which unfortunately ends in the last scene.
